ROO by Yiorgos Zafiriou is an hilarious and wicked business that graphically
represents the real unreality of absolute power. Chained to a table is a trace of an animal
easily recognised by the people of Australia. Audiences are witness to action, crisis and schism. In ROO Chief Surgeon Yiorgos Zafiriou, together with his collaborators, the mother
and daughter team Della Deluxe and Dallas Dellaforce dissect the rich symbolic language and history associated with the kangaroo. In the leg transplant, fur graft and liposuction there are suggestions of creepy science and Xeno transplantation however ROO like all plastic surgery
is a ritual of renewal.
